In 2026, her book Of Material, Memory and Mountains: Reviving a House in the Engadin Valley, written with two architect colleagues, published by Scheidegger & Spiess, documents Magdalena’s sympathetic revival of an abandoned 500 year-old-property. She acted as owner and general contractor, working together with traditional craftspeople and techniques to honour the historic Alpine structure, the local community, and the previous generations that had lived in the building before her. The book is both a toolkit for restorations and renovations, and an philosophical call to examine how we lives with our places and in them.
